Systems and independence

Technical climbing courses

Systems, judgement and independence for complex terrain

Technical courses are the next step when simply climbing a route is no longer enough. On multi-pitch climbs, trad routes or gear-protected terrain, the order of systems, communication and problem-solving matter as much as the grade you can climb.

We work on anchors, rappels, retreat options, rope management, removable protection, crack reading and criteria to reduce mistakes. The approach is practical: repeat systems, understand why they are used and know when they are not appropriate.
